This is the question of the century, it seems like everyone has a dozen paint cans in different colors left by previous owners. Yes we can take paint, but it has to be dry. Wet paint is classified as hazardous waste, which we cannot take. A few days before we show up, lay out some cardboard, or plastic sheets, and pour on the paint, and let it dry. Just be sure that there is no way for the paint to damage the surface underneath. You can also mix the paint with new/ used cat litter, wood shavings, or sawdust, and put it in a trash bag to dry.
We do our best to keep as much out of landfills as we can, any furniture that is in good quality gets donated, some pieces we are able to repair and re finish, we also recycle any appliances, tires, and E waste, and finally, all metal is separated and scrapped to be recycled.
